We went on the December 2004 crossing from Southampton to New York on the Cunard Queen Elizabeth 2 (QE2). It left on the 15 December and 6 days later arrived in New York.

It was the first time that we had been on the QE2, and something that I had wanted to do for a very long time. And part of the trio of travel "icons" that I have always wanted to go on (so only Orient Express to go now!).

It was a great experience even though - as everyone warned - a winter crossing is rough. We went Queen Grill in penthouse Suite 8006. The QG experience is amazing.
