WASHINGTON DECEMBER 2005

After the QE2 crossing from Southampton to New York on the QE2, we caught the train from Penn Station to Washington Union Station on the very fast Acela Express.

We stayed in the very beautiful Fairmont Hotel in a great suite and spent 5 nights enjoying Washington. We had worried that we would not find it very exciting. In the end we had a great time. There are amazing museums and very pretty buildings. One of the highlights was the crazy bus tour we took that goes all round the city. Well worth it!
